Authentic Cincinnati Chili
Cincinnati chili is a unique type of chili that's flavored with not just chili powder but lots of other spices, including cinnamon, allspice, and cloves. This recipe was handed down to me by Mom, a Cincinnati native. I like mine 4-way, with spaghetti, raw chopped onions, and grated mild Cheddar. Serve oyster crackers on the side.
Spicy Beef and Broccoli Chow Mein
I just mixed familiar Asian flavors together to make this oh-so-simple dish. Sometimes simplicity makes the best dishes. This is fast dinner to whip up any night to break the normal dish routine.
Mexican Atole
Atole is a popular Mexican hot beverage made with milk or water, thickened with masa harina, and flavored with cinnamon and brown sugar. Try this soothing beverage for breakfast, in the afternoon with some cookies, or after dinner!
