- 0.25 teaspoons cumin
- 1 ripe tomato , finely diced
- 0.25 cups minced red onion
- 0.25 cups extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh cilantro
- 1 clove garlic , minced
- 1 pound very fresh salmon fillets , sushi-grade preferred
- 1 avocado , sliced

Dissolve salt, chili paste, and sugar in lime juice in a large glass or plastic bowl; add pepper and cumin. Stir in tomato, onion, olive oil, cilantro, and garlic; mix in salmon. Cover and refrigerate, about 4 hours.
