This spicy skinny Margarita is made with fresh orange juice and lime juice and sweetened with agave. I used habanero Tajin and floated jalapeno slices to make it even spicier.
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon chili lime seasoning
- 1 lime wedge
- 6 jalapenos slices , divided
- ice , as needed
- 1.75 ounces tequila
- 1.5 fluids ounces lime juice
- 1.25 fluids ounces orange juice
- 1 teaspoon agave syrup
Instructions
-
1
Pour Tajin onto a plate. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a glass, and dip the rim of the glass in Tajin.

Place 3 jalapeno slices into a cocktail shaker and mash well with a cocktail muddler. Add ice to the shaker. Pour in tequila, lime juice, orange juice, and agave syrup; cover and shake until the outside of the shaker has frosted, about 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled glass and garnish with remaining jalapeno slices. Serve immediately.

Coquito
Coquito is a creamy, tropical, Puerto Rican holiday drink with tons of coconut flavor. It's made with both evaporated and condensed milk, cream of coconut, spices, rum, and — in this version — egg yolks. It is always requested at my holiday gatherings. Sometimes I hide it in the fridge to keep for myself! Serve in glass cups and sprinkle with more cinnamon if desired. Feliz Navidad!
