I modified this recipe from a copycat bread recipe which made mini-loaves as served at a local steakhouse chain restaurant. Longhorn no longer serves their mini-loaves, but I can have this delicious bread at home anytime thanks to this recipe!
Ingredients
- 0.75 cups warm water
- 1 tablespoon butter , softened
- 0.25 cups honey
- 0.5 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon instant coffee granules
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 1 cup bread flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1.25 teaspoons bread machine yeast

Place warm water, butter, honey, salt, coffee, cocoa, sugar, bread flour, whole wheat flour, and bread machine yeast in the pan of a bread machine in the order listed. Put on regular or basic cycle with light crust.
