My Mom developed this recipe which has become a holiday tradition in our family. It's different from many tzimuses because it is not made with sweet potatoes.
Citrus Wild Blueberry Sauce
Made with wild blueberries, this sauce adds a zing with lemon juice, orange juice, and lemon zest. Serve over waffles or pancakes.
Blueberry Vanilla Syrup
A lovely, fresh blueberry syrup with mellow vanilla undertones.
Cranberry Shrub
This cranberry drinking vinegar is a great way to spruce up your holiday drinks and cocktails. Add a bit of sparkling water, ginger beer, or tonic water for a non-alcoholic sipper. Or, add a splash of gin or vodka with a few ounces of your favorite sparkling water for a tangy cocktail. It's even delicious as a substitute for plain vinegar in your vinaigrette recipe.
Homemade Apple Cider Syrup
Apple-licious! Easy-to-make breakfast or dessert syrup uses unfiltered apple juice and a few other common ingredients. This creamy syrup is full of rustic apple flavor and not too sweet with just a touch of tang.

Rhubarb Simple Syrup
This rhubarb simple syrup has endless uses for a unique and delicious flavor to whatever you add it to. Mix 1 to 2 ounces into sparkling water, iced tea, champagne or a cocktail, or drizzle over ice cream or pancakes! Store in a glass jar in the fridge for up to 1 week. May be frozen for later use.
Lemon Syrup
This lemon syrup recipe is refreshing and sweet like lemonade. It's delicious on gingerbread with a little whipped cream.
Pomegranate Molasses
Pomegranate molasses is a syrup used in Middle Eastern cooking. It has a bright ruby red color, and its sweet and sour flavor goes well with so many other ingredients. It is commonly available in Middle Eastern markets, but is easily made at home if you can get pomegranate juice, now easily found in supermarkets.
Orange Pancakes
Oh the things I was out of when I created this dish: no milk and no eggs, but we wanted pancakes, dangit! I used flax meal to make up for the protein in the egg (a vegan trick) and substituted orange juice for milk. The result was pancakes bursting with citrus flavor. It's a new favorite in our house! Serve with butter and/or maple syrup.
Earl Grey Dutch Baby
This old-fashioned puffy apple pancake is laced with the flavor of Earl Grey tea for a modern twist.
