Homemade Ranch Seasoning for Dip or Dressing
Making ranch dressing? Mix this ranch powder with mayonnaise and buttermilk, and pour some over your favorite salad. Or use it to make ranch dip by mixing it with sour cream and buttermilk.
Homemade Sweet Italian Sausage (Mild or Hot)
This Italian sausage recipe is easy and versatile. Follow directions for sausage patties, or use the meat mixture in spaghetti sauce or meatballs. You can take it from mild to hot by adjusting the spices, and can substitute ground turkey or ground chuck — just not ground beef! If using turkey, you'll have to coat your skillet with a little oil before cooking the sausage as turkey has very little fat and the sausage might stick to the skillet without it.
Deer Jerky
Zesty deer jerky that you can make at home in your oven. If you have a food dehydrator, you can dry the venison by following the manufacturer's instructions. You can also reuse the marinade for additional batches.
The Best Homemade Honey Garlic Sauce
This honey sauce recipe has been made in our family for years. It's better than any store-bought sauce and so quick and easy to make! I recommend having extra sauce on hand because it makes a great dipping sauce.
White Sauce
This white sauce recipe can be used as a base for many dishes, such as lasagna and chicken pot pie. I use it to make macaroni and cheese for my granddaughter. I learned to make it in home economics too many years ago to count!
Chili Garlic (Homemade) Paneer
Homemade paneer is marinated in a spicy chili garlic marinade which adds a wonderful flavor to this versatile Indian cheese. Pan-frying the paneer gives it delightful texture.

"Cheeseburger" Quesadillas
Deciding between burgers or Mexican? Why not have both, with this inventive play on a fast food favorite?
Akki Rotti
This recipe is for Karnataka-style (Southern Indian) Akki Rotti. This savory flatbread can be enjoyed for breakfast, as a snack, or for lunch. It is very filling and contains lots of veggies to fulfill your veggie requirements for one meal in a day. Serve with the chutney or pickle of your choice.
Sincronizada
Sincronizadas are quesadillas made with ham and cheese. They were a common light meal in the part of Mexico where I stayed this year and make a quick and easy breakfast or lunch. Serve with your favorite salsa or canned chile slices.
Copycat Triple Layer Nachos
Last week at work there was some chatter about how it had been a year since Taco Bell® took the Triple Layer Nachos off their menu and how they were missed. I set out on a mission and this is what I came up with. Note: the restaurant chain sells their own line of refried beans, queso, and sauce so that makes it all the more easy to recreate this at home. This will dirty 4 pans but it is so worth it!
