Beef Stroganoff
This beef stroganoff is made with beef chuck roast, beef broth, white wine, mushrooms, and sour cream. It is the best I've ever had and well worth the effort. I have been making this recipe for over 20 years! Serve over rice or noodles.
Simple Hamburger Stroganoff
I created this beef stroganoff recipe with hamburger because I love the taste of a good stroganoff, but I don't like the expense of beef tips, steak, or roast beef, nor do I like all the time it takes to make them. My version is creamy and tastes great.
Caldereta (Filipino Beef Stew)
A Filipino beef stew traditionally cooked with goat, but it's usually not available in most markets. You can get creative with this dish such as adding garbanzo beans, peas, and raisins. Optional: add 4 ounces of liver pate in place of tomato paste. Serve hot over a bed of rice.
Beef Tinaktak
Tinaktak (pronounced tee-nack-tack) may have originated from the sound of chopping meat: tak! tak! tak! It is one of Guam's favorite comfort foods and definitely a favorite of mine since it is so simple to make yet yields a tasty dish! Serve over hot steamed rice (white or brown).
Beer-Braised Irish Stew and Colcannon
Beef stew is served with colcannon in this recipe that I shared with girlfriends in my recipe club last year. It is a yummy Irish dish that's a great alternative to corned beef for St. Patrick's Day and a wonderful anytime dish!
Instant Pot Beef Stew with Red Wine
Delicious family recipe I was able to make in my electric pressure cooker! I only have a 3-quart Instant Pot so if you have a 6-quart plus, you can double the recipe.
Korean Soft Tofu Stew (Soon Du Bu Jigae)
This is an easy and authentic version of Korean tofu stew. I used to eat this every day at a very popular restaurant. I befriended a woman who worked there and she gave me the recipe. It's very versatile. Small pieces of meat or seafood can be added. It's thick and great in the winter and can be made very mild or very spicy. I've seen some recipes on the internet for this dish that are the American version. They may be good too but this one is authentic.
Puerto Rican Mondongo
This simple, nourishing stew of tripe and vegetables is found in innumerable variations throughout Latin America and around the Caribbean. On the islands of Aruba and Curaçao, it is known as sopi mondongo. Cooking Puerto Rican food is a bit similar to Island and Spain cuisine; it has a distinctive flavor combined with foreign influences using native seasonings and ingredients. Serve in deep bowls with white rice and avocados.
No-Peek Beef Stew
This no-peek beef stew is a real standard in our household — great for company, and my husband always raves! No preparation, except opening cans. It cooks all day in the slow cooker. Serve over rice or noodles.
Instant Pot® Stew Using Frozen Meat
Have you ever planned on making stew for dinner but forgot to take the meat out of the freezer? This happens to me all the time so I developed this beef stew recipe using frozen meat.
Old-Fashioned Beef Stew
I took my Grandmother's recipe, trimmed the fat and enhanced the flavor.
Slow Cooker Ground Beef Stew
Incorporating ideas from other reviewers, I adapted a skillet ground beef stew recipe to a slow cooker version when we needed a meal ready when we got home. We loved this over hot biscuits. It's the ultimate comfort food with veggies included! Don't let the spices scare you or skimp on them; they make this a delicious meal!
