How to Make Beef Satay
This beef satay recipe is the main course-size version of a fabulous Thai appetizer: strips of beef marinated in Asian spices, skewered, and grilled for a truly amazing combination of flavors. With grilling season still in full swing, you can never have enough new and exciting ways to enjoy beef. Serve with mypeanut dipping sauce.
Super Nachos
These homemade nachos are great for game day. This recipe makes a huge meal-sized tray of nachos loaded with taco-seasoned ground beef, refried beans, salsa, jalapeños, and cheese.
Papas Rellenas (Fried Stuffed Potatoes)
These papas rellenas were made by my mom when we were kids; I always loved them. Each time you make them, you can season them to taste so they're different every time!
Dried Beef Cheese Ball
This dried beef cheese ball recipe is a festive favorite in our house. Grandma usually doubles the recipe — otherwise, it won't last long! It can be rolled in ground nuts, bacon bits, or left plain.
Homemade Beef Jerky
This beef jerky recipe uses a relatively quick method. While you can find many artisan brands out there, making homemade beef jerky is fun, easy, and all the rage! Have your butcher slice the beef for you.
Doc's Best Beef Jerky
A homemade beef jerky marinade made with soy sauce, liquid smoke, brown sugar, and spices makes the most flavorful beef jerky ever! I have been making jerky for years and I concocted this recipe by trial and error. Everyone says it is the best jerky they've ever had! My dehydrator is designed for jerky and takes about 4 hours to dry the meat. This could also be done in the oven or using other dehydrators, just check your manual for correct times as each machine is different. I hope you enjoy this jerky as much as my family and I do. Store in an airtight container or resealable bags.
Crunchwrap Ring
This crowd-pleasing taco ring is made with flour tortillas encasing a filling of spiced ground beef, two kinds of cheese, and Doritos. Serve with salsa and sour cream.
Loaded Beef Nachos
I load these nachos with sour cream, salsa, sliced olives, jalapeños, and chopped green onion, but all these toppings are optional - use what you like! I've made many, many plates of loaded nachos before settling on this version. I have also made them with turkey, and a vegetarian version, but really enjoy them with beef.
Cheeseburger Sliders
These cheeseburger sliders are easy to make with a savory beef and onion mixture on Hawaiian dinner rolls with lots of shredded cheese. The sliders are brushed with a sweet mustard butter and baked until golden and gooey for a delicious appetizer.
Meatball-Stuffed Garlic Bread Sliders
These fun meatball sliders are sure to be a winner on your Super Bowl snack table. The real secret to these beauties is placing the meatball in through the top of the roll, versus splitting the bread. Maybe it's the symmetry, or center of gravity, that makes these just feel right in your hand. If you're short on time, using pre-made meatballs will do.
White Stock
This chicken and veal stock can be used in a variety of soups.
Alia's Osso Buco
I love osso buco. To me, not only is it comfort food at its best, but it is also a great choice when entertaining. Plus it's so easy to prepare!
