Red Pozole
Rich, succulent, fatty pork combines with sweet white corn hominy in red pozole, an incredibly comforting, classic, cold weather dish that's usually served at New Year's. Whether you call pozole a soup or a stew, it's a satisfying bowl of food, with or without any fixings. Serve with finely sliced cabbage, diced onion, chopped avocado, sliced radishes and peppers, fresh cilantro, lime wedges, and chips or warmed corn tortillas.
Savory Pork Stew
This is a recipe for a savory stew of pork meat and potatoes that will warm you inside and out. It's great with crusty bread or corn muffins for dipping into the stew and cleaning the bowls!
Feijoada (Brazilian Black Bean Stew)
This feijoada recipe is my version of a traditional Brazilian black bean stew that maintains the rich flavors famous in Brazil. Excellent served over brown rice. Additional meats, including pork loin or smoked sausage, may be added if desired.
Pork Sweet Potato Stew
Pork plus sweet potato equals a lovely stew โ tender and delicious!

Creamy Pulled Pork Soup
This creamy soup can be made with leftover pulled pork.
Bratwurst Soup
This is a hearty, filling, cold-weather soup that makes a meal served with a crusty bread and light salad. The soup is just not the same if the brats are not grilled.
Ham and White Bean Soup
This ham, bean, and cabbage soup is one of my family's favorite soups. It's great on chilly days. For bean lovers, add a second can of white beans.
Ken's Kickin' Posole
This recipe is my version of the standard posole dish. It's part soup, part stew, but always comforting. Garnish Ken's kickin' posole with lime wedges, sour cream, and grated cheese on top.
Hasenpfeffer (Rabbit Stew)
Rabbit stew made with bacon, wine, garlic, shallots, herbs, and spices.
Pork with Peaches Stir-Fry
A yummy stir-fry that's quick and easy to make, this one's sure to impress! Pork, vegetables, and peaches are stir-fried over high heat to produce a dish that can be served with either noodles or steamed rice. You can replace the broccoli with snow peas or baby corn. Be sure to get peaches packed in juice.
Spicy Stir-Fried Udon Noodles
The first time I had sauteed udon noodles, I fell in love. Most try udon in soups, but the flavors from a hot pan and excellent sauces make this spicy stir-fried version so much better. I mixed together my concoction of Asian flavors and produced this lovely dish that is great for family, friends, and guests. I promise you they will love it more than your generic Asian takeout.
