Classic Veal Marsala
This classic veal marsala recipe is similar to the veal pesada at a popular Florida restaurant. I've spent extensive time eating my way through Italy and modified this recipe from a restaurant in Bagnione, Italy. I've substituted a combination of low-salt beef and chicken broth in place of veal stock; pounded pork medallions are also commonly substituted.
Yummy Veal Meat Loaf
Everybody loves this flavorful meat loaf dish! It tastes even better reheated the next day! Italian bread crumbs, chili powder, and chopped garlic (I use the bottled kind) give this meat loaf a little kick, while grated baby carrots give it a nice color.
Three Meat Cannelloni Bake
This meat cannelloni is best made with fresh noodles. You can substitute one pound of cannelloni pasta cooked according to package directions, then proceed as directed.
Bistro Veal Burgers
This bistro veal burger recipe uses veal for tender, non-greasy burgers that taste like they're from a bistro! You will be amazed at how easy and tasty they are; perfect for a special cookout.
Stuffed Cabbage Rolls with Tomato Sauce
These stuffed cabbage rolls with tomato sauce feature a savory filling of ground beef, pork, and veal.
Croatian Cevapi
My Croatian husband loves cevapi, so I tried making some for him and he loved them. I made it with beef and veal, which I know is not traditional, but it was so delicious! This recipe has become a staple in our house!
Rahmschnitzel (German Schnitzel in Creamy Mushroom Sauce)
I lived in Germany for 7 years and fell in love with Rahmschnitzel. Every recipe I found says to use dry white wine in the sauce. Every time I made it, something was missing. It wasn't that "Yep, I'm in Germany" taste. Then my beautiful wife had a Riesling one night and I used it. Now we're back in Germany!
Scaloppine al Marsala
Sometimes called veal Marsala, this is the classic Italian dish made with thinly sliced veal scaloppine. It's a recipe typical of Sicily, where the best Marsala comes from. Serve with plenty of bread to mop up the sauce.
German Wiener Schnitzel
Translation of the name: 'Wiener' this word comes from the word 'Wien', which is the Austrian city called Vienna. 'Schnitzel' means basically meat in a crust. I'm German and hope you can understand my English description. Serve the schnitzels with salad, ketchup and French fries.
Dutch Croquetten
This yummy Dutch snack is sure to please! Seasoned veal dumplings are breaded and then fried. Replace ground veal with lean beef, chicken, or stuff with spiced Gouda!
Stuffed Breast of Veal
This is a really old fashioned recipe that is really a Jewish eastern European dish. We serve this for holidays and on the Sabbath. It is really impressive looking and the taste is amazing. My family loves this. Once you get the hang of it it's really easy to make.
Slow Cooker Osso Buco
A beautiful, tender and mouth-watering meat casserole, so full of flavor. It forms a juicy and delightfully tasty gravy with carrots, celery and onion. Delicious served with boiled rice or couscous. My family couldn't get enough of this and were fighting to book the left-over bit for their lunch the next day. A real success.
