This blackberry crisp is topped with a crumbly oat topping. It's my favorite treat in the summer with whipped topping or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 0.75 cups all-purpose flour , divided
- 0.5 cups butter , softened
- 4 cups fresh blackberries
Instructions
-
1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
-
2
Combine oats, brown sugar, and 1/2 cup flour in a bowl. Cut in butter with 2 knives or pastry blender until the mixture is moistened and crumbly.
-
3
Spread blackberries into an 8-inch square baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup flour and toss well to coat. Sprinkle oat mixture over top.
-
4
Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 35 to 40 minutes.

Santa Hats
Super festive, super easy, and super tasty! Does it get any better?? :) My kids love how the meringue melts in their mouths! If you leave the oven door open just a little it can help keep the meringue from browning.
