Slow-Cooked Honey-Glazed Ham
The secret of this tender honey-baked ham is slow cooking. I start it in a low temp oven around 6 p.m. the night before if used for breakfast. If used for dinner, it can be started later in the evening, turned off and restarted the next morning. Don't use a spiral-sliced ham because it will dry out.
Greek Chicken Skewers
Greek-inspired chicken skewers with lots of flavor! Marinade is also wonderful on grilled vegetables.
Greek Traditional Turkey with Chestnut and Pine Nut Stuffing
This is my grandmother's old recipe for a delicious turkey roasted in lemon, orange, and tangerine juice with a stuffing of meat, roasted chestnuts, and pine nuts. An excellent recipe for everybody who loves Greek cuisine.
Roasted Greek Chicken
Juicy, flavorful chicken meat with a crispy skin. Tastes wonderful and is super simple to make.
Branzino Mediterranean
Branzino, also known as European sea bass, is a delicious white fish with a mild flavor. I like to cook them whole, stuffed with lemon wedges, fresh oregano, and rosemary before roasting them for an easy dinner full of Greek flavor.
Shichimi-Seared Pork Tenderloin
Asian flavors and French technique come together to make a great dish. You can also use chicken, scallops, or most types of hearty fish (i.e. tuna, salmon, etc.) to make this.
Roasted Cod Nicoise
Cod roasts alongside green beans and new potatoes in this weeknight-friendly sheet pan dinner. Keeps up to 2 days when chilled in an airtight container. This recipe, which appeared in Allrecipes magazine's Dec/Jan 2020 issue, comes from Ellie's new cookbook, "Whole in One: Complete, Healthy Meals in a Single Pot, Sheet Pan, or Skillet."
Duck Γ l'Orange
Duck Γ l'orange is one of those classic dishes that somehow became a clichΓ©, and people stopped making it for fear of looking un-cool, which is too bad, since it's really good. This is traditionally done with a whole roasted duck, but by using duck breasts we get pretty much the same results in a lot less time.
Thai Pasta Salad
This delicious Thai pasta salad is loaded with vegetables and roasted peanuts tossed in a spicy chili and lime dressing. It comes together quickly once you've cooked the pasta! Add chicken, shrimp, or tofu for a main dish. So good warm or chilled.
Southern-Style Pig Tails
Pig tails are used in a lot of different cuisines. They are great as a meat dish with turnip greens, blackeye peas, or boiled cabbage. My recipe cooks the tails twice, and the result is a crispy crackling covering the tail that you can eat or save for crackling in cornbread. The crushed red pepper can be used liberally for a spicy taste. Be sure to buy pig tails that have a lot of meat around the upper part.
Slow Cooker Stuffed Peppers
These are slow-cooked stuffed peppers. Red or yellow bell peppers can be used instead of green. Italian diced tomatoes can be used in place of fire-roasted if desired.
Garlic Top Sirloin Pot Roast
A tender top sirloin roast made in the slow cooker with lots of garlic, potatoes, onions, carrots, and green peppers.
