Slow Cooker Chicken and Vegetables
Add some color to your slow cooker chicken and veggies, by browning the chicken skin beforehand. Not only is it more appetizing, it tastes better, too. Prep all the veggies, load them into the cooker, and place the browned chicken on top. No need to add any liquid, either, as everything slow roasts in the pot! Serve with a salad and some bread to complete the menu.
Slow Cooker Texas Pulled Pork
This Texas-style pulled pork recipe has a tangy barbeque sauce that's easy to make in the slow cooker. I like to serve the shredded pork on toasted buttered rolls. My family's favorite!
Honey-Garlic Slow Cooker Chicken Thighs
These crock pot chicken thighs are easy to prep with pantry staples. Always a hit with adults and kids! Serve with basmati rice or quinoa and steamed or roasted vegetables.
No-Bake Snickers Pie
This no-bake Snickers pie tastes just like the Snickers bar you know and love—caramel, peanuts, and chocolate, but in a fluffy, creamy pie. Roasted, salted peanuts in the graham cracker crust add delightful crunch and salt. Any Snickers lover will easily fall in love with this decadent pie.
S'Mores in a Bag
This S'Mores in a Bag recipe is more of a concept than a recipe, but all the ingredients are easy to bring along on your next cookout. Roast some marshmallows, and toss them into a bag of snack cookies and chocolate, and YUM. You'll love the result.
20 Second Salad
A crisp 'no-mayo' coleslaw that is great for potlucks. I have used honey-roasted peanuts and have used sunflower seeds. The honey-roasted peanuts taste great in it. For big crowds I do a double batch.
Grandma's Pepper Slaw
This is my Grandma's recipe for sweet and sour cabbage and bell pepper slaw that couldn't be simpler to make! My family loves it as a side dish for grilled burgers and hot dogs, but it works equally well in winter with roast pork or beef.
Cornes de Gazelle (Gazelle Horns)
Cornes de gazelle are crescent-shaped cookies that are filled with a sweet almond-orange blossom filling and are topped with crushed pistachios. They popular all over North Africa in Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco and are also known as tcherek, tcharek, or kaab el ghazal.
Cinnamon-Roasted Almonds
Roasted almonds are an easy snack idea to serve at any holiday party.
Make-Ahead Turkey Gravy
This make-ahead turkey gravy allows you to spend more time on other parts of the meal on Thanksgiving day. It's rich in flavor thanks to roasted turkey wings. I discovered this recipe years ago! Store it in an airtight container and freeze for up to 3 months.
Roasted Peppers with Pine Nuts and Parsley
This recipe is so delicious and easy. I enjoy it cold but it can be eaten immediately as well. I hope you enjoy this recipe!
Festive Fall Turkey Salad
I created this recipe to use leftover holiday turkey. It's a classic bound salad using mayonnaise and celery, but it also includes fresh cranberries, orange juice and cashews. Although new to our menu, it has become a holiday favorite. My family requests I make my own turkey before Thanksgiving so I can serve this salad as an appetizer at our holiday feast. I hope you will find it as enjoyable as we do. Enjoy it on rolls, in wraps, or as a spread with crackers.
