Chicken Meatloaf
This chicken meatloaf is tender, moist, and well-seasoned. Parmesan cheese and Worcestershire sauce add umami flavor and it's topped with a sweet ketchup glaze.
Mongolian Meatloaf
I could not be more pleased with how this Mongolian Meatloaf experiment turned out. Since I couldn't decide whether to make meatloaf or Mongolian beef, I decided to try both things at once. The result is a tender meatloaf, sliced and crisped in a skillet and served with a sweet, salty, savory sauce, which, like the American Chinese restaurant favorite, Mongolian Beef, is not remotely Mongolian. But it sure is delicious, especially served over steamed rice with bok choy.
Slow Cooker Texas Pulled Pork
This Texas-style pulled pork recipe has a tangy barbeque sauce that's easy to make in the slow cooker. I like to serve the shredded pork on toasted buttered rolls. My family's favorite!
Honey-Garlic Slow Cooker Chicken Thighs
These crock pot chicken thighs are easy to prep with pantry staples. Always a hit with adults and kids! Serve with basmati rice or quinoa and steamed or roasted vegetables.
Slow Cooker Mojo Chicken
This mojo chicken made in the slow cooker with a mixture of orange juice, lemon, lime, garlic, and seasonings is tangy and full of bright citrus flavors. You can shred the chicken to use in other dishes, with a little liquid from the cooker, or you can serve the chicken breasts whole with the yummy sauce.
Slow Cooker Jalapeño Chicken
This slow cooker jalapeno chicken has a salty-sweet sauce that gets its heat from fresh jalapenos. Serve it over rice.
Slow Cooker Sweet Chili Sesame Chicken
Serve this slow cooker sweet chili sesame chicken over rice or noodles to soak up the delicious sauce.
Crockpot Teriyaki Chicken and Rice
This crockpot teriyaki chicken and rice is super quick to assemble. The sauce ingredients, pineapple, and chicken simmer together, and in the last half hour, convenient packs of pre-cooked rice are added to the mix.
Chess Pie
This chess pie is a very old Southern recipe. It's a very sweet, rich dessert which cannot be described as anything but marvelous. This is not my personal recipe but was passed to me by my grandmother and from her grandmother and so on and so forth. You will think you have died and gone to heaven when you taste this, especially when served with whipped cream.
Granny's Mini Pecan Pies
You, too, can make pecan pies, just like Granny's mini pecan pies, using this easy homemade pie dough and a simple pecan pie filling. If you prefer to make a single 9-inch pie, use half the pie dough. Prep and bake as directed in a deep-dish pan.
Good New Orleans Creole Gumbo
I am going to give you my Creole gumbo recipe. I learned to cook from my mother and grandmother who were born and raised in New Orleans and really knew how to cook. Most of the time, you could not get them to write down their recipes because they used a "pinch" of this and "just enough of that" and so on. This recipe is a combination of both of their recipes which I have added to over the years. Serve over hot cooked rice.
Original Old Bay Coleslaw
This coleslaw recipe used to be printed on the Old Bay cans, but it was removed a decade or more ago. It's very different from the one on the current Old Bay website. I much prefer this one and even today occasionally see a posting from someone looking for the old recipe from the Old Bay can. Well, here it is! It's a great side dish — especially with barbecued pork.
