Swedish Crisp Waffles (Frasvafflor)
Waffles are a very popular street food and coffee shop item in Sweden. We also eat them specifically on the Feast of the Annunciation because "Vårfrudagen" (Lady Day in Swedish) sounded a lot like "våffeldagen", thus became Waffle Day! These are a lot crisper and lighter than American and Belgian waffles and contain no eggs. Serve immediately with whipped cream and fresh fruit or jam.
Sweet Potato Waffles
These yummy sweet potato waffles are easy to make. You can use leftover mashed sweet potatoes or quickly microwave a sweet potato whenever a craving hits!
Al's Bloody Marys
Al was my stepdad, who was a wonderful man and a great cook! One of his specialties was his Bloody Mary, and no matter how many pitchers he prepared for company, they always wanted more. My only modification has been to add a bit of horseradish. This is a great brunch beverage, but various friends always ask if I'll please make 'Al's Bloodys' when they come for dinner.
Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie
This peanut butter banana smoothie is so refreshing, and it's sweet and tasty.
Chocolate Banana Peanut Butter Protein Shake

Banana Egg Waffles
Our family makes these waffles for a gluten-free breakfast that tastes great, too! These waffles taste delicious with fruit inside them, too! Try substituting blueberries for chocolate chips; they're still delicious! Spread some butter, then add a dollop of maple syrup, and the kids will never know these aren't the regular pancakes you make every Saturday morning!
Breakfast Margaritas
This breakfast margarita is a game changer. It's like a mimosa, but way better. Fresh, zesty, and totally delicious. Perfect for lazy weekend brunches with friends. Just whip up a big pitcher (easy to scale up!), and you're good to go. Trust me, your guests will be begging for the recipe.
100% Whole Wheat Peanut Butter and Jelly Bread
I wanted a 100% whole wheat bread that tasted good with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and that has a decent rise. This one not only tastes good, it rises more than than white-bread-flour recipe I used to make. It is also soft and freezes well. I make my bread on Sunday, then make and freeze my sandwiches for the week. Each day I take one out of the freezer and Friday's is just as good as the one on Monday. You can use any flavor jelly.
Grandma Skeet's Prune Kolaches
This is a Czech Pastry my Grandma use to make with a homemade prune filling and streusel topping. I changed it a little so I could use the bread machine. They are worth the hard work!
Braided Bread with Pesto
This braided pesto bread is beautiful and full of flavor. I've made it with several different fillings. It is crispy and flaky on the outside and filled with pesto on the inside.
Braided Italian Herb Bread
This beautifully braided Italian herb bread recipe includes a delicious blend of basil, oregano, rosemary, and garlic powder that is sure to please!
No-Knead Skillet Olive Bread
No-knead skillet olive bread is a very easy-to-make, no-knead, crusty, and delicious bread packed with marinated olives and garlic.
