Make-Ahead Hot Buttered Rum Mix
This is an easy, delicious hot-buttered rum that doesn't require cream or ice cream. Keep the mixture on hand in the fridge for use anytime. You can substitute 1/2 cup hot strong coffee or tea for the rum and boiling water.
Pomegranate Martini II
I ordered this martini at a chain restaurant which we don't have in our area when I was visiting family out of town. I tried one, and fell in love with it. So I wrote down the ingredients and starting playing around with the measurements. I found the perfect amount and it tastes even better than the one at the restaurant! I have used Sugar Free Cranberry Juice with this and it has turned out great!
Ginger-Hibiscus Sparkler
Bridge tipsy December and dry January with this less-leaded (but no-less-tasty) sipper. Spicy ginger liqueur, nonalcoholic ginger beer, and sweet-tart hibiscus provide all the buzz you need.
White Christmas Cocktail
This is a very fun holiday drink!
Old-Fashioned Hot Buttered Rum
This old-fashioned hot buttered rum is the real thing, a genuine old-fashioned recipe, except you use a slow cooker to simmer it. You will swear you are drinking a cinnamon roll, and then it hits you! It's very tasty and a family favorite.
Pomegranate Holiday Cocktail
This holiday cocktail is a delicious blend of vodka, pomegranate juice, lime juice, orange-flavored liqueur, and soda. It's perfect for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Eve.
Pudding Shots
Pudding shots for when you're looking for a little something special for an adult event and are tired of the traditional gelatin shots. This one's for you! It's a quick-and-easy recipe that tastes great.
Cheese Fondue
I've been making this fondue since the early '70s. This recipe uses two types of cheese and always turns out super smooth. I like to serve it with cubes of crusty bread for dipping, but baby potatoes, bell peppers, and sliced apples also work great!
Sheet Pan Greek Salad Nachos
These sheet pan nachos are the perfect bites of Greek salad on a crunchy canvas. Delightfully surprising take on nachos. These will be a hit at the next party. Everything can be made ahead of time and assembled just before serving. These will make a great dinner as well!
Grilled Chicken Nachos with Lime Crema
Marinated and grilled chicken breast and a blend of Mexican cheese nachos topped with lime crema and cilantro. I created this dish to pair with Vermentino wine which is customarily served with seafood. The pair worked really well and I had many requests for the nacho recipe. I kind of just did it, so use this as a guideline and make it your own!
Nut Loaf Supreme
This nut loaf is a gluten-free favorite at retreats year around. Try it warm with onion gravy, mashed rutabaga, and sautéed green beans.
Grandma Maggio's Spaghetti Sauce
This Italian tomato sauce from Grandma is one that was recited to me, from memory alone, and used descriptions like "a hand of garlic," though the quantities listed now should be accurate. I encourage buying the cheapest versions of these ingredients you can find; it will feed an army for about $15 without ruining the taste. You should add more seasonings based on preference. A great vegetarian sauce, or with meatballs, makes great meatball sandwiches.
