Garbage Soup
This soup is made with leftover veggies. My kids call it garbage soup because it would have been garbage if we hadn't made soup! Throw in any type vegetables you have in your fridge to add some flavor.
Beef Salad Sandwich Filling
Like chicken salad, but with beef! A great way to use leftover roast beef or pulled beef. Even my kids like it, minus the onions. Chopping and mixing all the ingredients together in my manual food processor works really well and saves time. Serve on bread or in pita pockets.
Prime Rib Soup
This rich and satisfying prime rib soup is the best I've ever created. Hubby is always excited when I make a prime rib because he knows this soup made with leftovers will follow within a day or two. The ribs are sliced from the prime rib before serving and saved just for this recipe. I always buy a bone-in prime rib because it makes the roast better-tasting, and the ribs are a bonus not to be missed!
Leftover Ham Bone Soup
Great for fall! If you have a leftover ham bone and a couple of kitchen basics, this soup is easy to prepare and serve. Nothing fancy to it!
Ham, Bean, and Potato Soup
This home-cooked ham, bean, and potato soup is thick and hearty, making it super-satisfying on a fall or winter day. It's a very basic, traditional soup made with a ham bone and all the trimmings from a whole or pre-sliced baked ham. If you bake your own hams and have been throwing out the bones, you're missing out on something very special!
After-the-Holidays Ham Bone Soup
This ham bone soup has no beans but is instead simmered with vegetables, macaroni, and rice to create a hearty soup and family tradition after the holidays.
Leslie's Ham Lentil Soup
I originally called this my "experimental lentil" soup, patching together various other lentil ham bone soup recipes. I've been making it every fall for a decade now. What's listed here is a single recipe, though I can't remember the last time I've made such a small batch. It's great for freezing in individual servings for lunches.
Bubble and Squeak
Bubble and squeak is a great way to use leftovers and get the kids to eat cabbage! It is an easy side dish to make with leftover potatoes, ham, and any greens. I recommend using a good nonstick pan. Top with a fried egg for brunch if preferred. Tastes great with ketchup.
Irish Lamb and Potato Stew Recipe
This Irish-style stew with lamb, potatoes, and carrots is baked in the oven until the meat is tender and delicious!
Chris' Best Burgers
Been searching for that perfect burger recipe, but end up making a meatloaf sandwich? Been looking for that 'Wow!' reaction at your next BBQ? Look no more, this simple recipe does just that. I can't count how many have asked/begged for this recipe at my BBQs, so now it's time to share! Serve on buttered and toasted kaiser rolls and condiments of choice.
Lamb Baby Food
Lamb meat is a great choice once you introduce to your baby to meat. Not least because it's high in iron, which babies need as their iron stores start to dwindle around 6 months old. My little one loved this lamb and it was so easy and cheap to make.
Lancashire Hot Pot
Very simple lamb and potato casserole made with layers of sliced potatoes, browned onion and leg of lamb, fresh thyme, stock and seasoning.
