Hot Sausage Dip
This spicy sausage dip is great with tortilla chips or crackers. It's so thick and tasty, it could be a meal in itself!
Beer Cheese Pretzel Dip
This is a GREAT alternative to chips and dip. I take this everywhere and always get asked for the recipe. It is awesome! It is best served with mini-twist pretzels, but it's also great with veggies.
Blue Cheese Dip
This blue cheese dip is smooth and creamy. Blue cheese crumbles kindly lend their distinctive flavor to this simple dip. Serve with corn chips.
Vidalia Sweet Onion Dip
Creamy, cheesy, yummmmy dip. Use a potato peeler to get the onion very thin. Serve with your favorite cracker.
Super Easy Fruit Dip
This is a fruit dip that's very easy! Blend your favorite yogurt flavor with frozen whipped topping and dip! I use slices of Granny Smith, Golden and Red delicious apples, white & red grapes, orange sections, strawberries, kiwi fruit and pineapple chunks for a platter.
Jalapeño Corn Dip
This dip tastes similar to a jalapeño popper. Wonderful with tortilla chips or veggies!
Chef John's Queso Dip
I used to make something very similar to this queso dip at the Mexican restaurant I worked at in college, where we called it 'chili con queso.' At first I thought it could be thicker, but later I realized the saucy texture was the key to its addictive irresistibility. Instead of too much cheese piled up on your chip, we just get a beautiful, silky coating, and as soon as you finish one, you can't wait to dip another, and another, and another, until there are no chips left.
Simple Grilled Caesar Broccoli
Flame-kissed broccoli with glazed-on Parmesan and Caesar dressing from John Spargo down south in Alabama. All my kids, even the one-year-old, loves this grilled recipe.
Grandma Sony's Slow Cooker Black Beans
My mother-in-law whipped up these slow cooker black beans one day without really paying attention to what she was putting in and served them as a side. I have since had to reverse-engineer them to come up with this slow cooker recipe and found they are extremely versatile. They are excellent in burritos, over rice as a side or main dish, or just as a soup on their own. You can even add cheese to the leftovers to make a great dip for chips!
Cornbread Dressing With Gravy
A family-favorite holiday side with gravy for the dressing! My dad's mother made an old-fashioned cornbread dressing with gravy from scratch, without canned or boxed ingredients. She taught my mom, who passed this version on to me. I believe people came to my mom's house for Thanksgiving and Christmas for this one dish! This big-batch version does use cornbread mix, condensed soups, and bagged stuffing for convenience, but everyone asks for the recipe when I bring it along to a holiday potluck because they tell me how much it reminds them of the old-fashioned dressing their grandmothers used to make. Add more traditional stuffing spices as desired.
Elegant Turkey Stuffing
The distinctiveness of this fancy turkey dressing comes from the orange-flavored liqueur, spicy Italian sausage, apples, and pecans. It's also very easy to prepare. This recipe makes enough to stuff one 18- to 20-pound bird. If you prefer, this dressing can be made with thyme instead of sage.
