Korean Tofu and Vegetable Soup
This is the Korean equivalent of chicken noodle soup - it is a comforting, cure-all soup. It is also spicy and fresh, and easy to make. You will have to visit your local Asian market for some of the ingredients.
Tteokbokki (Korean Spicy Rice Cakes)
This firery dish features chewy rice cakes (garaetteok) seasoned with spicy chile paste. A staple of Korean street food, you'll often find bubbling pots of tteokbokki ready to serve. Garnish with sesame seeds for an extra crunch.
Korean Fried Chicken Sauce
This is my take on the classic Korean fried chicken sauce. I like to add lots of green onion and garlic, and not cook this quite as long. The result is a sauce with those ingredients a little more in the flavor profile's forefront. Try to find Korean chili flakes and/or paste if you can. I've used them before and the flavor is great (and obviously more authentic), but if you can't, any hot chili flakes or paste will work.
Korean-Style Salad Dressing
Yummy Korean-style salad dressing! Delicious over spinach salad.
Mom's Kimchi Egg
My mom makes this kimchi and eggs dish all the time, and it tastes better and better each time! And the best part โ just two basic ingredients is all it takes. Garnish with rice.
Yummy Korean-Style Glass Noodles (Japchae)
My simple version of Korean-style japchae isn't traditional, but the slippery-sweet noodles are flavorful and satisfying! Serve as a starter or pair with meat as a main.
Easy Bulgogi (Korean BBQ Beef)
Bulgogi, or Korean barbecued beef, is made with marinated sliced beef. Most recipes call for crushed pear to tenderize the meat. My boyfriend's Korean mother says Coca-Cola can also be used for the same purpose. This recipe uses very thinly-sliced sirloin steak, so tenderization isn't necessary. It's delicious served with rice, lettuce leaves, and chile paste or kimchi.
Bibimbap (Korean Rice Bowl)
This bibimbap recipe makes a popular and delicious Korean meal of warm white rice topped with vegetables, beef, a fried egg, and spicy gochujang chili paste. Traditionally, bibimbap was eaten on the eve of the Lunar New Year, to use up any leftovers before the start of the new year.
Kongnamool (Korean Soybean Sprouts)
These Korean bean sprouts with the flavor of kimchi are truly delicious. Enjoy with a bowl of rice.
Breezy Key Lime Pie with Strawberry Rhubarb Glaze

Made in a sweet vanilla crust, it's the perfect end to a light, fresh meal. It's best to start this pie at least 12 hours before you wish to serve it. Garnish with whipped cream, strawberry slices, or fresh twists of lime.
