Limoncello II
Italian after-dinner drink. I use organic lemons.
Quince Liqueur
For everyone who has an abundance of quince in their yard, try this excellent recipe for quince liqueur. I make it every year and give it as gifts for Christmas. It usually makes about 6 small bottles.
Spiced Honey Vodka
This is a dangerously tasty spiced honey vodka recipe that I have perfected over the years. It has some similarities to Polish Krupnik, but with several variations. It makes a nice dessert liqueur or food gift to friends during the holidays.
Viryta (Lithuanian Honey Liqueur)
This is a sweet, very potent beverage that can be found at Lithuanian festivals and Lithuanian social clubs in Baltimore. They usually pronounce it 'VIT-a-tis'. Viryta is usually homemade by descendants of Lithuanian immigrants, using recipes that have been handed down through the generations, and is a popular commodity around the holidays. It took me years to finally get someone to teach me how to make it; most of the people around Baltimore who make it are very secretive about their family recipes! I'd probably catch an earful if she knew I posted it online!
Homemade Cranberry Liqueur
This delicious cranberry liqueur can be enjoyed on its own, as a post-Thanksgiving sipper, or mixed with sparkling wine to create a cranberry cordial (a festive way to kick off the holidays). Either way, it's really easy to make and will last up to 2 months.
Blueberry Liquor
Infuse alcohol with frozen blueberries and make a delicious blueberry liquor that makes a wonderful gift. It's best to use frozen berries rather than fresh ones due to the organic breakdown that occurs when the fruit is frozen.
Lithuanian Krupnikas
This krupnikas recipe is for Lithuanian spiced honey liqueur. Serve warm as a traditional Eastern European cold remedy. A quick heat-up in the microwave works great.
Berry Cordial
This is an easy way to make cordial and it's good for gifts! Other berries such as raspberries, strawberries or blueberries may be used in place of blackberries, and rum or brandy may be used in place of the vodka.
Tangy Plum Liqueur
This tangy, sweet, succulent, plum-flavored liqueur is great for gifts, to indulge in by itself, or for plumtinis. You can use tangerine peel instead of orange peel. Save and eat the plums!
Traditional Italian Limoncello
Traditional Italian limoncello is typical of the Amalfi coast, a beautiful area around Naples. It's traditionally made with Sorrento lemons, which are large and flavorful and a really unique Italian product.
Amaretto Sweet and Sour
Mix amaretto, orange juice, and sour mix to make a delicious drink for those who don't like a strong alcohol taste!
Eggless Mango Bread
This basic eggless mango bread recipe uses milk powder instead of eggs. You can even use any leftover baby formula powder in its place. This bread is delicious when served hot out of the oven, but can be kept for two to three days.
