Perfect Pita Chips
I searched for months for a perfect pita chip recipe that tastes the same as, if not better than, store-bought pita chips. After many attempts, I found what everyone thinks is the perfect pita chip recipe! It takes barely any time to prepare, the chips have lots of garlic flavor, and they go great with spinach artichoke dip! For a change, add Italian seasoning, herbs, or Parmesan cheese!

Konbu Dashi
Dashi is an essential broth base for most Japanese dishes and can be purchased in most Asian grocery stores. For those who want to make it from scratch, there are several recipes out there, but I find this one is the easiest. This recipe uses konbu (also spelled kombu), a variety of dried edible kelp that is harvested off the coast of Hokkaido and as far south as the Seto Sea. This is a good vegetarian broth that enhances the subtle flavors of Japanese cuisine. It is also a bit friendlier to the Western chef than katsubuoshi, which is made from dried fish flakes and can be very aromatic.

White Wine Chicken Soup
Amazing, fill-your-house-with-an-aroma-to-drool-for, easy chicken soup. The longer it cooks, the better it gets. The best is made by my mother, but the rest of us can make this wonderful facsimile. Easily multiplied, exceedingly flexible - have fun! The soup is quite good after 2 hours, but the longer it cooks, the more mellow the flavor will be. If you can, leave it for as many as 6 hours (this is a good recipe when you're in the house all day). Serve with croutons or soup nuts, if desired.

This is a good sugar-free pumpkin pie and doesn't have an aftertaste.
