Indian Chaat-Inspired Potato Chip Salad
We're making chip chaat! This Indian street food often features crispy fried things topped with all kinds of amazing garnishes. It's by far one of the most delicious foods in the world. So, I decided to try that same approach with potato chips, and I love how this came out.
Sweet Curry Pumpkin Seeds
I added the curry as an experiment and was very pleased with the addition to these sweet and crunchy seeds.
Tandoori-Inspired Oven Chicken Skewers
Inspired by the flavors of India, these chicken thigh skewers take only 15 minutes in the oven, plus a couple of minutes under the broiler. Serve warm over rice as a main dish, at room temperature as an appetizer, or as a protein source for a salad.
Butter Chicken Tarts
These butter chicken tarts provide a new twist on an old favorite.
Cranberry Chutney
This cranberry chutney with apples, raisins, and spices is fragrant and chunky. It's perfect for spooning over turkey tenderloins or serving alongside your Thanksgiving turkey as an alternative to your regular cranberry sauce. Try it on leftover turkey sandwiches too!
Mint Chutney
I had searched everywhere for a mint chutney recipe. The stars aligned one day, and I not only found a fabulous house to rent, but a landlord who knew how to make this chutney! This is Roselyn's recipe.
Tomato Chutney
This tomato chutney made with fresh tomatoes, ginger, garlic, sugar, and spices tastes amazing! It's very good on Indian flat breads.
Reshmi Kebab (Silken Kebabs)
This is a traditional Muglai dish prepared in India. It gets its name from the succulence of the meat after prolonged marinating and light braising. Traditionally, chicken, beef or lamb meat is used, but prawns or scallops are good substitutes too for this smooth as silk kebabs. Serve with chatnis (dips made from coconut, cilantro and mint, usually found in Indian grocery stores) or tomato sauce.
Carrot Halwa (Gajar Ka Halwa)
This is one of my favorite recipes. Easy to cook, tasty to have. Hope you guys enjoy my recipe.
Pav Bhaji (Indian Curry)
I made this after trying different methods over a few years. It all came together so well. The flavor and texture was amazing. You really need to add water at the end and not be scared that it will ruin the dish, it will not! You need a fairly runny consistency for the best pav bhaji. Garnish with fresh chopped tomatoes, onions, and fresh cilantro if desired. Serve with toasted white bread or bread rolls.
Rasgullas
If you are intimidated by the idea of making rasgullas at home, please do not be any longer. I was too, until one day I tried it and realized I was worried for no reason all these years. They are quite easy and super quick to make. Give these a try.
Rava Laddu
This is a popular Indian dessert recipe that I got from my Indian coworker's wife. It is VERY sweet, so if you don't like overly sweet desserts, you might want to adjust the semolina/sugar ratio accordingly.
