Homemade Maple Syrup
This homemade syrup is my version of pancake syrup โ why buy from the store? Use 2 cups brown sugar for a thicker syrup.
Blueberry Simple Syrup
This blueberry syrup is a flavored simple syrup that is very versatile and goes with so many things. I especially like to put it on top of French toast or in pancake or waffle batter. It's also very yummy in cornbread or biscuit batter. This can be made in advance and stored in a glass jar in the refrigerator.
Simple Strawberry Syrup
Use this strawberry syrup to make natural-flavored beverages. My nephew loves strawberry milk. This simple recipe came from an attempt to create a more natural substitute for the strawberry syrup sold in stores. I even use it in my own beverages!
Lavender Simple Syrup
This lavender syrup is made with fresh lavender blossoms steeped with sugar and water to create a sweet, aromatic floral syrup that's perfect for adding flavor to cocktails, lemonade, cakes, and sorbets.
Decadent Chocolate Pancakes
This is my spin on having chocolate for breakfast! It's a cross between a pancake and a brownie. I hope you like them as much as my family does. Serve warm with your favorite pancake syrup, whipped cream, and berries of your choice. Enjoy!
Buttermilk Pancakes for a Crowd
Pancakes for a crowd or to freeze for later.
Grandma's Buttermilk Pancakes
These are the best buttermilk pancakes. This recipe is handed down from my grandmother.
Buttermilk Pumpkin Pancakes
These buttermilk pumpkin pancakes are especially great for cold fall and winter mornings! Serve with syrup.
Wheat Germ Whole-Wheat Buttermilk Pancakes
Pairs wheat germ and whole-wheat pastry flour for a healthy, wholesome breakfast treat. If you use a Teflon griddle you do not have to use oil.
Pumpkin Quinoa Pancakes
Sweet pumpkin and delicate autumn spices make this recipe enjoyable any day of the year! Serve with maple syrup, whipped cream, and pecans if desired.
Orange Pancakes
Oh the things I was out of when I created this dish: no milk and no eggs, but we wanted pancakes, dangit! I used flax meal to make up for the protein in the egg (a vegan trick) and substituted orange juice for milk. The result was pancakes bursting with citrus flavor. It's a new favorite in our house! Serve with butter and/or maple syrup.
Garbanzo-Oat Pancakes
Beans and grains combined make a nice combination. This recipe was developed for those on a wheat sensitive diet who can have gluten. It's great for people who need to be dairy and egg free. These do not form bubbles on the first side like 'normal' wheat pancakes. They do not brown like regular pancakes, either.
