A nice drink to have around the pool on hot summer days. Garnish with umbrella, pineapple slice and cherry.
Vintage Lemonade
In the 1800's this is how people made lemonade—you can do it too! It's not that difficult, and tastes wonderful!
Coconut Cream Cake
This coconut cream cake is easy to make using a white cake mix and creamy coconut sauce. You may reduce the amount of sauce if you prefer, and it will still be delicious.
Peach Pie
This easy peach pie is perfect for using juicy ripe peaches. It's my family's favorite summer dessert and is best eaten fresh.
Key Lime Cookies I
Lime flavored rolled cookies.
Plum Pie
This gorgeous plum pie has a decorative and tasty streusel topping. The rich crust is made with a combination of luscious things like sour cream, heavy cream, and butter.
Strawberry Trifle
This strawberry trifle is a very light dessert recipe from my friend Ellen. It's easy to make with cake cubes, pudding, and strawberries for the perfect end to a heavy meal.
Grilled Okra
These grilled okra are crispy, spicy, and really good. Don't worry if they get too charred — they're delicious that way!
Grilled Radishes
These are great matched with a simple grilled chicken breast. Use more or less garlic to taste.
Sheboygan Grilled Brats
Growing up on a lake in the Sheboygan area, this was a standard way that the German folks would grill their brats. We always served them on the old-fashioned hard rolls. By finishing them in the beer sauce they just get better and better. Though it's expensive, on special occasions I use a dark beer which is not German at all: Guinness Irish Stout. Around our house, we eat them with ketchup and mustard, and the cooked onions from the brat sauce.
Best Ever Blueberry Cobbler
This blueberry cobbler is an excellent light dessert that isn't too sweet! This recipe works great with all types of fruit. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
Grilled Peaches
These grilled peaches are sweetened up with a little honey and a dash of cinnamon before being packaged into foil and cooked on the grill. Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an easy dessert. As my husband says, these taste like a peach cobbler without the crust!
