No Fry Crab Rangoon
These tasty appetizers are delicious and not fried.
Chicken Rangoon
I made this chicken Rangoon one night with leftover roasted chicken. I had everything to make crab Rangoon — except the crab! Needless to say, my family fell in love with them. I'm sharing my recipe because I think your family will too.
Crispy Crab Rangoon
Everyone will love these bite-sized crab rangoon, fried to crispy perfection. Just place the crab filling onto square wonton wrappers, fold them into triangles, pull up the other edges to seal, and fry them until golden brown. To make these in advance, freeze them on trays, then fry them from frozen just before your party.
Mini Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls
Long ago, in my more oblivious days, I ordered 'boneless Buffalo wings,' only to be disappointed they weren't wings. It's a bit ironic that all these years later, I'm using chicken breast to create a Buffalo wing alternative, but at least I'm not trying to trick anybody. Less messy than bone-in Buffalo wings and more eventful than the 'boneless' kind, these Buffalo chicken egg rolls are a party snack breakthrough. Serve alongside more hot sauce and celery.
Thai Basil Rolls with Hoisin-Peanut Sauce
Shrimp and pork - layered with rice noodles, bean sprouts, and herbs - all rolled together in a fresh rice wrapper and served with a hoisin-peanut sauce for dipping. Great for an appetizer or lunch!
Shrimp Rangoon
Shrimp Rangoon is a simple and tasty side dish.
Buffalo Chicken Stuffed Shells
This is a hit for football Sundays. For a thicker stuffing, drain ricotta overnight. Serve with ranch and blue cheese dressing for dipping.
Yaki Mandu (Korean Dumplings)
Mandu are Korean dumplings that can be steamed or fried. Yaki means fried. These dumplings have a beef, cabbage, and garlic filling and are served with a dipping sauce. They're great for parties. There's a lot of prep in making these, but as quick as you can fry them they'll be gone!
Baked Cream Cheese Wontons
A Midwestern favorite: baked cream cheese wonton wrappers. The recipe ingredients are simple: 1 wonton wrapper plus 1 teaspoon cream cheese. You can add chives, crab, and other kinds of cheese — just decrease the amount of cream cheese accordingly.
Artichoke Bites III
These taste fabulous and are best when served slightly chilled. Serve on a platter over a bed of flat leaf parsley for an attractive presentation.
Mini Sweet Potato Samosas
Mini samosas made with curried sweet potatoes and wontons. Serve with ketchup or chutney.
Bacon Stuffed Avocados
They are what they sound like. Delicious. Serve as appetizer. Doesn't need too much sauce. Just adds the perfect amount of flavor!
