Hangtown Fry with Parmesan and Fresh Herbs
My recipe variation on Hangtown Fry contains Parmesan cheese and fresh herbs. It is finished under the broiler, where the egg-oyster mixture puffs up like a cross between a frittata and a soufflรฉ. I get the best results using a cast-iron skillet. It's important that the oven be hot before you place the skillet under the broiler.
Smoked Sausage Frittata
Eggs combined with Butterball Smoked Sausage and vegetables provide a colorful and tasty dish for breakfast or brunch.
Baked Spinach and Egg White Muffins
These 'muffins' can be eaten warm or cold and are an Atkins Diet-friendly option.
Slow Cooker Frittata
This slow cooker frittata is a great breakfast or brunch. I make my own Italian seasoning, but you can use store-bought. This is a vegetarian frittata, but add sausage, if you like.
Asparagus and Mushroom Frittata
This asparagus and mushroom frittata recipe is one of my favorites. The most important thing (I think) is to cook it slowly so the eggs stay tender.
Zucchini Frittata
This hearty zucchini frittata is full of sliced summer zucchini, bell pepper, and mushrooms topped with mozzarella and Parmesan, finished under the broiler until crispy and golden brown on top.
Potato and Vegetable Frittata
This vegetable frittata with potatoes is an easy and filling dish that goes well with cooked greens or a tossed salad and some sprouted grain bread. Almost any vegetables can go into the mix โ just make sure they're all chopped before beginning, and start with the ones with the longest cooking time.
Spinach and Mushroom Frittata
This spinach mushroom frittata is delicious! Looking for a vegetable with super health powers? Try spinach. It's packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
Bacon and Potato Frittata with Greens
This is a wonderful frittata anytime of day or night. My grandfather used to make frittatas quite often. Instead of finishing a frittata under the broiler he would cook it halfway, put a plate on top of the pan, flip the pan over, and slide the frittata back into the pan to cook the other side. Sometimes a frittata would stick; other times the hot oil would drip on him as he performed this maneuver. It was during these moments that I learned all the really good Italian curse words I still use to this day.
Spinach Frittata
This spinach frittata recipe is an easy egg dish filled with spinach, ham, bell pepper, onion, and cheese for a delicious and quick brunch option made right in a skillet.
Potato and Zucchini Frittata
This recipe is great for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner. If you're eating this as a main meal serve it with a nice fresh salad. You can adapt it at will, adding some bacon or different sorts of vegetables. An optional extra is to add some grated cheese on the top before putting it in the oven.
Microwave Frittata for One
This is a quick breakfast; from start to finish it's ready in about 5 minutes
