Traditional Yorkshire Pudding
As legend has it, Yorkshire puddings were cooked in a pan of fat at the bottom of a hearth, underneath a large piece of roasting beef. The smoky heat from the fire and the drippings from the meat must've made for quite a delicious pastry. Though limited by modern ovens, in this recipe for traditional Yorkshire pudding, you can still come close to the original by using real rendered beef fat, without which you're just eating a popover.
Traditional Popovers
This recipe is for traditional popovers. They can be served plain, but my family prefers them with raspberry butter.
Grandma's Yorkshire Pudding
These are delicious Yorkies! Very easy, too! Serve Yorkshire pudding with roast beef or pork, as this recipe requires meat drippings.
Simple Yorkshire Pudding
A delicious 15-minute Yorkshire pudding.
Blueberry Popovers
A special blueberry popover recipe to serve at your next brunch. Eggy and rich, yet not too sweet; quite impressive, yet simple. Please try the lemon juice and powdered sugar on the top. It really adds to the total flavor!
Classic Yorkshire Pudding
Traditionally served with roast beef, Yorkshire pudding is actually not a pudding at all! Rather, it's a puffed pastry baked with meat drippings. People in the U.S. tend to think popovers and Yorkshire pudding are the same, but they're not. Popovers are hard and very airy, while Yorkshire pudding is softer and doesn't rise as high as a popover.
Chef John's Popovers
I got this popover recipe from a viewer Elizzaruth, who breaks from tradition and places the popovers in a cold oven and then bakes them at a high temperature for 30 minutes exactly. The popovers came out tall and fluffy, crispy on the outside, tender and delicious inside!
Hi-Rise Easy Yorkshire Pudding
Simple and easy Yorkshire pudding recipe.
Easy and Delicious Crusty Popovers
I grew up with these buttery popovers served with homemade turkey noodle soup. Very easy to make and tasty. DO NOT open the oven until done!
Blue Cheese Popovers
I'm very excited to show you these blue cheese popovers. This is a new, and possibly slightly improved, popover recipe. While we may have tweaked the ingredient amounts a little bit, we are still going to be using our foolproof, cold-oven method for making these. The reason this technique is so fun to use is that it's literally the opposite of everything every popover expert says you should do.
Vegan Baked Polenta with Radicchio
Creamy polenta, vegan cheese blend, and flavorful radicchio meet in this vegan meal. This is an adaptation of a popular dish from the Lombardy region of Italy. It typically uses fatty cheeses and butter. This version offers all the flavor without animal fats, making it perfect for vegan diets or for anyone looking to reduce fats in their diet.
Grilled Polenta Bites with Black Bean Salsa
Grilled polenta rounds are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and topped with a fresh salsa for a light and refreshing appetizer in the hot summer months.
