Cajun Pastalaya
This is my Cajun pastalaya recipe that I put together after trying 3 or 4 different local Southern Louisiana recipes. Hope y'all enjoy! Serve with crusty bread.
Quick Spinach Quiche
This spinach quiche recipe is easy to make in addition to being budget friendly. It's so delicious — we never have leftovers, even with several picky eaters in the house!
Authentic Tacos al Pastor
Tacos al pastor is a quintessential Mexican dish, with tender pork and pineapple marinated in a savory and aromatic chile sauce. Serve with warm corn tortillas, tomatillos salsa, and lemon or lime wedges.
Creamy Chicken and Shrimp Alfredo
You'll love my recipe variation on this creamy chicken and shrimp Alfredo. It's a little heavy on the hips, but worth every bite. A perfect match with a nice green salad, and you must have garlic bread to sop up this creamy sauce.
Instant Pot® Pulled Pork
This pulled pork dish is a blend of a couple other recipes, made in the Instant Pot®. We had this on the Fourth of July, and it was a huge hit! Serve on warmed hamburger rolls, top with the thickened sauce, bread and butter pickles, or cole slaw as desired.
Venison Salami
This is my grandmother's recipe for homemade salami, you can use ground beef also if you don't have any venison around. It's worth the effort to make it.
Rainbow Cookies
These rainbow cookies are moist, mellow, and full of almond flavor. The colorful layers of yellow cake sandwiched with red jam and topped with chocolate create a show-stopping treat!
Gas Grill Turkey
This turkey cooked on a gas grill comes out juicy with a crispy brown skin.
Slow-Smoked Pulled Pork (Boston Butt)
This simple yet effective Boston butt recipe gives the pulled pork a mildly spicy and tangy flavor. The combination of smoke and moisture from the drip pan works very well for cooking the meat evenly and leaves plenty of juices within the meat itself. I've tried several different methods with Boston butt and this one is my favorite, as well as a favorite among my friends. Give it a try and see if you like it, and please don't be shy and leave some feedback! I usually serve with barbeque sauce and baked beans (throwing the fat chunks from the pulled pork into the beans to add a little extra flavor). Check out my Sweet and Spicy Cornbread Muffins recipe for a great side. Enjoy!
Homemade Lady Fingers
This recipe for ladyfingers is easy to make with just 4 ingredients. To make chocolate ladyfingers, substitute 3/4 cup all-purpose flour plus 2 tablespoons cocoa powder for the all-purpose flour.
Funeral Sandwiches
These little funeral sandwiches with ham and cheese are baked until golden and delish. Always a favorite at a party or funeral!
Beef and Pork Guiso
My girlfriend's mom, Mama, makes this incredible guiso (stew) once a year and often includes it in a more intricate recipe, which doesn't allow us to appreciate the value of the guiso as is. It is good by itself, with rice or pasta, or with chips. I love it because it's awesome, incredible, and delicious.
