Hawaiian Iced Tea
I first tasted this tea in a popular Italian restaurant in my college hometown of Kailua. I have been craving it ever since, and have experimented with a few proportions. Add more tea leaves for a stronger tea, but do not steep longer or the tea will end up tasting bitter. (If it does, add a pinch of baking soda.) Always make something to your liking! This is also great to serve at showers.

This Hawaiian loco moco is a local dish served many ways, but this version is my favorite. I ate this at a sports bar-cafe on the big island of Hawaii. They usually make it with Spam. Also, you can make this using leftover rice, pre-cooked burgers, and jarred sauce.

Ulu (Breadfruit) Pancakes
If you've ever picked or bought an ulu, thinking you were going to bake, make chips etc., and the next day it's practically mush, then this is a perfect breadfruit (ulu) recipe to try. Or if you've been forced to eat raw ripe ulu, and have developed a complex around the mushy state of this food, this recipe should turn your ulu distaste into yummy breakfast wonder.
